Abstract

Basing on the archival data and published documents and materials, taking into account the achievements of the native historiography of the problem, the author of the article reconstructs brief retrospective of the place and role of the Cossacks of the Lower Corps of the Imperial Army in the large-scale foreign policy action – “Peter’s Campaign in the East”.
