Abstract

The article is devoted to some pages of the history of the development of trade and economic relations of Dagestan peoples with various States, provinces and peoples in connection with the settlement of the Armenian population in areas of Russian influence. Attention is drawn to the fact that mass migration of Armenians to the Terek and Sulak was due to the strengthening of the Russian state position in the Caspian region. It is also noted that the Imperial administration in order to the economic recovery of the region and the development of new industries, established for the Armenians special privileges.
