Abstract

The article deals with the analysis of the main trends in the policy of the Soviet power in regard to religion and religious organizations during the first decades of its establishment on the territory of the multicultural region. The author of the article studies the changes in the sphere of religious legislation in practice, and also peculiarities of religious life in the region under study.
